On behalf of the AMPD Executive Team, we greatly appreciate all our members who have given their time and contributed to help American Muslim Professionals of Dallas reach and exceed its objectives over the course of this eventful year. In helping each other succeed, we understand that it is not merely a kind gesture to mentor someone in need, but it is our responsibility to do so. And just as we provide insight to others, we too seek guidance and help first and foremost from our Creator - "Iyyaka Na`budu wa Iyyaka Nasta`in" - as we create solutions and tackle the challenges of being an American Muslim professional in a constantly evolving world.
From the Programming Committee
During our third quarter, AMPD Programming Committee organized an Eid-ul-Fitr Potluck for the AMPD Executive Team, Advisory Board and Committee Members. To celebrate this occasion, AMPD leadership came together to learn about each other and understand the various ways in which we all collaborate to advance AMPD's mission of providing a platform for professionals to network, advance professionally and give back to our communities. We enjoyed a festive evening with great food and great company!
From the Community Service Committee
On September 20, 2014, AMPD and LOTUS collaborated on a community service project benefiting Texas Trees Foundation - TXU Energy Urban Tree Farm & Education Center. Volunteers from both organizations completed 6 weeks worth of maintenance work in 3 hours, saving the organization $6K. The project was a great success! Thanks to all of the volunteers for their time and contribution!

For our fourth quarter community service project, AMPD has partnered with Texas Muslim Women's Foundation for their Islamic Art Revival Series Experience program.
On November 9, 2014, AMPD volunteers will facilitate performances and activities at the event.
